Juno Gemes is an Australian Hungarian-born activist photographer, writer and publisher who has spent over 50 years working with First Nations people, advocating for justice and the recognition of culture through photo narratives and texts widely published and exhibited across Australia, Europe and the USA. Born in Budapest in 1944, she moved to Australia in 1949, and later became involved with Sydney's Yellow House artist collective before co-founding Paper Bark Press in 1986 with her partner, poet Robert Adamson. Having documented the 2008 National Apology to the Stolen Generations, her fifty-year archive recently culminated in the publication Until Justice Comes.
