Ali AlShaali is an Emirati poet, novelist, and publisher who is the author of five poetry collections and several works of fiction and narrative prose. His recent publications include the novel My Name is Alya and the short story collection This is My Father and Lives in Pomegranate. AlShaali's work has earned numerous accolades, including the Al Owais Creativity Award, and he was named Poet of the Year at the Sharjah Festival of Arabic Poetry in 2024. His poetry collection The Earth Has But One Soul has been translated into Spanish, Turkish, and Greek. A graduate of the International Writing Programme at the University of Iowa and the Frankfurt Book Fair Fellowship, he holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and a Master's Certificate in Project Management.

Stefan Kutzenberger is an Austrian writer and university lecturer in Vienna. His literary work has received numerous awards, among them the Prize of the International Literary Dialogues (Vienna–San Francisco), and fellowships from Literar-Mechana, the Literary Colloquium Berlin, and the Deutscher Literaturfonds. His debut novel Friedinger appeared in 2018; in 2021 his novel Jokerman represented Austria at European Literature Night in New York; in 2023 his novel Kilometer null was featured as part of the Austria focus of the Leipzig Book Fair on tour to San Francisco, Tunis, and Istanbul; and in 2024 his play Divas im Dilemma premiered. The List of the Living is his fourth novel.

Irena Karpa is a Ukrainian writer, musician and journalist whose work combines sharp humour, social commentary and a bold, distinctive voice. She is the author of numerous novels, stories and essays, translated into several languages. During her postgraduate years, she lived in Indonesia, an experience that later found its way into her novel Freud Would Cry, which has also been translated into other languages. Alongside writing, Karpa has pursued a career in music since 1999 as the lead singer and songwriter of Qarpa, an alternative band blending punk, industrial, hardcore and psychedelic trip-hop.

I Wayan Arca Bertayasa is a Balinese coffee producer and the creative mind behind Ulian. He began his career in hospitality, making his mark as a mixologist under Scottish chef Will Meyrick, enhancing cocktail menus at Sarong, Mama San and Hujan Locale, with stints in Hong Kong and Malaysia. In 2010, Arca returned to his roots, taking over his father's coffee legacy to produce high-quality, fully washed beans. Drawing on his hospitality experience, he brought recognition to his brand, Ulian, and, as one of the few English speakers in his village, built a network within the coffee community, promoting sustainable production.

Rodney Glick is Australian Director of Coffee at leading Indonesian specialty coffee brand Seniman Industries, co-founder of green coffee processor Karana Spesialis Kopi, and initiator of Roda Rasa Kopi Indonesia, the nation's first coffee flavour wheel. He is a coffee theorist, licensed Q Grader, and internationally acclaimed contemporary artist.
