Feasts of Flavours await at the Ubud Food Festival from 30 May to 1 June!

The Ubud Food Festival will take over the sun-drenched spot at Taman Kuliner from 30 May to 1 June, where the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival annually takes place, for three days dedicated to devouring the best food the region has to offer. Discover the program and everything the festival has in store.

The extraordinary thing about food is that it carries so many traditions and stories. It is a universal language spoken with many different accents, and yet, just like language and culture, it is ever-evolving. When the Ubud Food Festival returns to its beloved home at Taman Kuliner, thousands of people will speak the same language, and you are invited to be part of this gastronomic gathering in which we elevate traditional cuisine and food in general to new heights.

Experience a once-in-a-lifetime feast of Indonesian flavours and fine creations with emerging Indonesian talent alongside Asia’s best chefs and Michelin-star awardees at one of our Special Events. From our much-loved long table lunches to unexpected one-off culinary collaborations, we have selected our top picks of events you shouldn't miss.

Meanwhile, at our Masterclasses, you will learn top tips on how to elevate your skills to new levels. From a tea session with tea sommelier Faye Fei from RÜSTERS Xiu Tea House, who will serve a selection of their best-tasting teas, to a Jamu-making masterclass offering insights into the heritage of this Indonesian herbal healing tradition, and a food photography class where you can explore the thought process behind how food comes to life through the camera lens.

Our Chef's Table program is where you can get up close with the talented crews behind the scenes as they craft their signature dishes right before your eyes. Legendary Malaysian chef Cheong Liew, the mastermind behind Canggu’s new hotspot Longtime Tyler Preston, French chef Stéphane Simond, and many more will share their expertise.

Plus, sample delicious food at our famous free Food Market, which features over seventy stalls with mouthwatering delights, while enjoying Cooking Demos at our Teater Kuliner Stage. But it’s not just your body that is in for some serious nourishment at the festival, at our free Food for Thought stage, local changemakers, environmental heroes, hardworking farmers, and pioneering organizations come together to discuss big issues and new ideas.

So, whether you’re popping in for a single event or staying for the full weekend, you won’t leave hungry, and neither will your imagination. For the full program, check the website and scroll down to see our selected top Special Event Picks.
