Puneeta Roy

Puneeta Roy is an Indian media professional with over three decades in film and television, whose passion for Expressive Arts has shaped her work using theatre as a tool for self-exploration and transformation. As Founder and Managing Trustee of The Yuva Ekta Foundation, she champions equity and social justice, creating platforms where underprivileged youth connect with and learn from their more fortunate peers. Her most notable achievement came when The Yuva Ekta Foundation performed at the National Theatre of Scotland's invitation, taking their plays to Glasgow's Tin Forest International Youth Festival in 2014 and the Home Away Festival in 2017. For over a decade, she has also worked on reformative practices with youth offenders at Government Remand Homes in Delhi through her project Threads of Humanity.
