Lucille Abendanon

Lucille Abendanon is a Dutch award-winning author. Her debut novel, The Songbird and the Rambutan Tree, won the Independent Book Publishers Award, the Foreword Indies Award, and a Freeman Award for contribution to Southeast Asian History, and was a School Library Journal Best Book of 2025. Lucille has always lived a life on the move; she grew up in the UK and South Africa, and has called Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, and the Netherlands home. 

Lucille Abendanon adalah seorang penulis asal Belanda yang telah meraih berbagai penghargaan. Novel debutnya, The Songbird and the Rambutan Tree, memenangkan Independent Book Publishers Award, Foreword Indies Award, dan Freeman Award untuk kontribusinya terhadap sejarah Asia Tenggara, serta dinobatkan sebagai Buku Terbaik 2025 oleh School Library Journal. Lucille selalu menjalani hidup yang berpindah-pindah; ia tumbuh besar di Inggris dan Afrika Selatan, dan pernah menjadikan Vietnam, Thailand, Turki, serta Belanda sebagai rumahnya.
