Dhianita Kusuma Pertiwi

Dhianita Kusuma Pertiwi is an Indonesian writer, translator, and editor-in-chief of independent publisher Footnote Press. Her fiction, non-fiction, and translation work explores issues surrounding the 1965–66 mass human rights violations, New Order politics, and gender issues. Her latest books of literary criticism include Siapa yang Melawan dari Dapur: Catatan-Catatan Pembacaan atas Karya Penulis Perempuan, published in 2025, and Di Bawah Rundungan Merah: Politik Ketakutan dalam Penyerangan terhadap The Grapes of Wrath, published in 2026. She has also curated archival exhibitions on literary figures including S. Rukiah, Toeti Heraty, A.A. Navis, and Asrul Sani, and since 2025 has served as programme manager of the Literary Translators Laboratory, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture to strengthen Indonesia's literary ecosystem.
