Arantza García Ferrand

Arantza García Ferrand is a Peruvian writer, living and performing on Kaurna Yerta, South Australia. Arantza is the 2025 Australian Poetry Slam Champion, having won the national final at the Sydney Opera House. She is an organiser, co-host and designer for The Gathered Sound, a poetry collective platforming the voices and experiences of poets of colour. She was shortlisted for the Deep Creek residency in 2025, and has had her work published in Cordite Poetry Review, Pure Slush, Sweatshop, and Word Travels. She has a prose collection coming out with Pink Shorts Press in 2027.
