“There is no remedy for love but to love more,” Henry David Thoreau wrote in his journal.

How do you interpret this? In the midst of immense love—or in the aching absence of it—is Thoreau suggesting that the only way through is to keep loving, and to love more? Is he speaking of unconditional love?

We want to hear your thoughts. Bring your love poems, love, anti-love, uncertain love. Whether written with a lover’s blessing, born of platonic devotion, or shaped by love for the earth.

Bring forth your love poems. For perhaps loving more is the only remedy after all.
